Fake Tattoos at the Fair

Recently, we attended the county fair with my five-year-old daughter. She was wearing a cute little white, frilly tank top, and she insisted on buying some of those fake arm tattoos that come in the form of butterflies, rainbows, and smiley faces. She let the lady working the booth wet a rag and press the tattoo onto her upper arm. She smiled a huge smile as she looked at her arm in the mirror, and then looked up at me and asked, “Hey Mom, when can I get a real one of these?” Needless to say, I was not really ready to answer that question at that point in time! “Not for awhile, dear, you’ll just have to enjoy your stickers for the time being.”
