Visit the Montshire in Norwich
Norwich, Vermont offers one of the best places to learn and have fun in the entire state. Located on 110 acres along the Connecticut River, the Montshire Museum has been entertaining kids and adults since 1974. One of the things that make the museum so popular (and unique) is that it offers activities both inside and outside. The exhibits in the museum are designed to teach people about science, nature, and technology, and they do this by utilizing a hands-on approach, which helps kids learn faster. The exhibit areas are Air & Weather, Astronomy, Light & Vision, Live Animals, Math, Mechanics & Motion, Natural History & the Environment, Sound, and Water & Flow. Each of the areas offers people a chance to try out a number of activities designed to help them learn about the way the world works. Outside the museum are quite a few walking and hiking trails that everyone will enjoy. It is a great way to see the Vermont countryside and experience nature firsthand. Everyone is sure to enjoy his or her trip to the museum, no matter his or her age. With all of the different exhibits and hiking trails, you might need to come back several times.
