My obstetrician gave me a pregnancy diabetic diet to follow.
When you are so far along in a pregnancy, your obstetrician will send you for a test to see if you have gestational diabetes. The lab technician with take blood, you will drink a substance that tastes like extremely sweet soda pop, and the lab technician will take blood again. I just had the test done, and my obstetrician called me a couple of days later to tell me that I had gestational diabetes. I now have to watch what I eat, until I give birth to my child. My obstetrician gave me a pregnancy diabetic diet to follow for the remainder of my pregnancy.
