What Does Senior Dating Mean ?
Still today, many people perceive senior citizens as having no “sex life” and no need for one. I find this both humorous and sad, really. People grow older, they develop deeper roots for experiences, and they continue to need to grow these roots.
Senior Dating can mean different things to different people. For some, dating is dating ! Dating is about companionship with another person that shares a desire for continued human growth. Senior dating can also mean romance with or without active sex as a part of it. Many people are looking for the comfort of physical contact such as holding hands, hugging and simply being close.
We are the people we are. Though basic personalities can change over time, people are creatures of habit. Some people have always valued sexual intimacy and will continue to do so in to their older age. For others, sexual intimacy took a back seat and other thing were valued in the relationship, things such as friendship and intellectual sharing. Senior dating is not so much a definable term as it is a process.
