Information Disclosure Statement

When you go to get your invention patented then you are required to give the patent officer an Information Disclosure Statement which will show them anything they need to consider that you know about concerning eligibility of the patent in question. You are required to come forward with this information if you know about it. It is unlawful to try to hide or omit this information if you do know about it and if it is omitted and can be proven you did so knowingly you could be fined or prosecuted for perjury as well as losing any rights to the patent.
